Striker out for Blues

Daniel Sturridge is still struggling with a hamstring injury and will not figure against Nordsjaelland in the Champions League tonight.

Boss Roberto Di Matteo was hoping the striker would be passed fit but the game has come too soon and he did not travel with the rest of the squad when they jetted out to Norway on Monday.

It means Fernando Torres will again continue in attack but Di Matteo is keen to make changes and rest certain players following a hectic start to the new season.

Frank Lampard, who has not figured in the last three Premier League games, looks certain to come in with John Obi Mikel likely to be left out, while Victor Moses will also be hoping to make his Champions League debut.
