Striker targets Blues return

On loan West Brom striker Romelu Lukaku has revealed that he wants to become a club legend once he returns to Stamford Bridge.

The 19-year-old failed impress in his first season in the Premier League, after joining the European Champions in 2011 for a reported £18 million from Anderlecht.

However, after showing the willingness to leave the Blues on a season-long loan it would appear that he will be firmly in the plans of the boss at the West London club next term.

Both Andre Villas-Boas and Roberto Di Matteo overlooked the promising young forward but Steve Clarke has given the Belgian international every opportunity to shine and he has repaid his faith by netting nine goals.

Lukaku knows that he will have a battle on his hands once his loan deal expires, facing competition from new signing Demba Ba as well as £50 million Fernando Torres, but hopes that he can become one of the clubs greatest ever front men.

"My aim is to play at the Bridge and to be a legend over there in the future," Lukaku said.

"That is the dream. That's what I signed for Chelsea for. But the time is going so really I need to keep playing. And hopefully in the next few years become one of the key elements at the Bridge."
