Striker's future to be resolved

ChelseaChelsea forward Didier Drogba will end speculation linking him with a move away from Stamford Bridge by signing a new deal.

The 30-year-old striker has been the subject of constant transfer speculation this summer and has been linked with a host of top European clubs.

Bracelona, AC Milan and Inter Milan have all been credited with an interest in the prolific goalscorer who joined Chelsea four years ago from French club Marseille.

It was thought that Drogba was keen to move away from Chelsea but following talks with new boss Luiz Felipe Scolari, it now looks as if Drogba will sign a new big-money deal to keep him at the London club until 2012.

Drogba said: "Chelsea want to speak and I am open to talk. Things have not changed but I am a Blues player."

Drogba has two years left on his current deal but the club are eager to tie down their top marksman. And the player insists his future will not be dictated by cash.

He said: "Money is not the main factor and if Chelsea show they want me it is possible to accept a proposition."
