Terry denies spit spat

ChelseaJohn Terry has denied spitting at Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez in Chelsea's Champions League final defeat on Wednesday.

The two locked horns in extra-time in Moscow when Tevez refused to give possession back to Chelsea after they had deliberately put the ball out of play.

Terry led the protests despite Chelsea using the same tactic and appeared to come together with the Argentina international, while Didier Drogba was also sent off after a clash with Nemanja Vidic.

However, Terry, who admitted to having words with Tevez, denied spitting at his opponent.

"There was some pushing and shoving, I admit that," he told The Sun. "But no spitting, that is not my style. No way would I spit at another player."
