Werder Bremen sporting director Thomas Eichin hopes to talk to on-loan Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne about his future soon.
The Belgium international was sent to the Bundesliga on loan for the season when the Blues signed Oscar from Internacional, further restricting his first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old, speaking to Bild, recently said "it is not the right time to talk about my future" and suggested he would only enter discussions over his future at the end of his stay in Germany.
Eichin has other ideas, though, and confirmed Werder Bremen want to speed the situation up by meeting with the midfielder and his agent as quickly as possible.
He said: "We want to talk in the near future and check the situation. We must get a feeling about how Kevin and his agent see the situation."
It is unclear if Chelsea view De Bruyne as a realistic future Premier League prospect as he has not played a competitive game for the Blues since he joined in January 2012 from Genk.
