Willian is set to meet his new Chelsea team-mates at training on Saturday after the Blues left Spurs bitter by sealing a £32m deal.
Jose Mourinho sensationally snatched the 25-year-old Brazilian from Tottenham's clutches with an 11th-hour bid after Spurs chairman Daniel Levy thought he had his man.
But Chelsea offered the Anzhi Makhachkala player a slightly better financial package and Champions League football.
He is now ready to link-up with the squad in readiness for the acceptance of a work permit application.
Willian is expected to undergo his Chelsea medical this weekend and Blues officials hope to have a work permit appointment set up for some time next week, which could mean he is signed in time to make his debut in Friday's UEFA Super Cup against Bayern Munich.
