Boa Morte dilemma for Wright

Chesterfield could include former Arsenal winger Luis Boa Morte in their squad for the visit of Dagenham.

The 35-year-old made the surprise move to the Spireites on Wednesday night, but admitted he must prove his fitness to caretaker manager Tommy Wright before he can feature.

One player Wright will be able to call upon is defender Sam Hird, who has recovered from the hamstring injury which kept him out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Doncaster in midweek.

Hird's return from the treatment table will provide the Spireites boss with a welcome tonic given the other players currently occupying the sidelines.

Midfielder duo Mark Allott and Danny Whitaker are still out with respective hamstring and groin injuries.

They are joined by goalkeeper Tommy Lee (shoulder) and defender Nathan Smith (ankle).
