Gardner out for Spireites

Chesterfield travel to AFC Wimbledon without Dan Gardner while the Sky Bet League Two leaders also have concerns over the fitness of two other players.

Gardner is nursing an ankle injury following a challenge involving Accrington midfielder Peter Murphy on Saturday. The forward will see a specialist on Tuesday to determine the extent of the problem, although initial scans have revealed no bone fracture.

Striker Marc Richards and winger Gary Roberts are also thought to be carrying knocks following the 3-1 defeat at the Crown Ground.

Meanwhile, Blues boss Paul Cook is looking to make a loan signing. He has targeted an attacking player but it remains to be seen whether any deal will be done in time for the trip to London on Tuesday night.
