U's sign Holman

Colchester have signed striker Dan Holman.

The 24-year-old has spent the past two season in the Conference with Braintree and after scoring 24 goals for The Iron he turned down the opportunity to sign a new deal leading to U's boss Joe Dunne snapping him up.

Speaking about his new man, Dunne told the club's official website: "Dan is a player we have watched on many occasions over the past two seasons and we're delighted we were able to bring him in.

"He gives us another option in the forward areas of the pitch and has the ability to create and score goals for us."
