Coventry boss Chris Coleman is looking to add quality to his squad this month while he tries to ship out unwanted players.

The Sky Blues have started the season in form but Coleman knows he needs to plug a few gaps - especially after summer signing Stephen Wright suffered an Achilles problem at Barnsley.

Chairman Ray Ranson told the Evening Telegraph: "We speak on a daily basis discussing scenarios to improve the squad. We are constantly reviewing the situation and there's a few names he's mentioned so we will have to see."

Ranson added: "We'd like to reduce the size of the squad.

"The manager has said on numerous occasions that he wants to trim it down to the low 20s but with a lot more quality, so from that point of view we'd like to move a few on."
