Freddy Eastwood is hoping to shake off a knee injury in time to return to the Coventry side for the visit of Blackpool on Saturday.

The strike ace was forced to miss the midweek 0-0 draw at Swansea due to the problem, but he has progressed well and will be assessed on Friday ahead of the Ricoh Arena showdown against the Seasiders.

Sky Blues boss Chris Coleman should have centre-back James McPake available, despite him being forced off at half time at the Liberty Stadium due to a migraine.

Leon Barnett will make his final appearance in defence before his loan deal expires on January 31, although Coleman is hoping to extend his stay from West Brom until the end of the season.

Jordan Clarke is still out with an ankle injury while midfielder Isaac Osbourne has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee problem.

The game also comes too soon for Ben Turner and Marcus Hall to feature as they regain their fitness from respective injury problems.
