David McGoldrick has expressed his delight at returning to goalscoring form at Coventry.

The former Southampton striker is currently on loan at the Ricoh Arena from Nottingham Forest, where he scored just nine times in 75 appearances.

But having struck six times in nine games for the Sky Blues, the 24-year-old front man cannot hide his relief.

McGoldrick told the Coventry Telegraph: "I haven't played regular football in three years and I am just grateful to get this chance at Coventry.

"I always knew I would come good and I just want to keep it going and keep scoring goals.

"This is the best form I have had since I was at Southampton. I never played this many games in a row at Forest, where the best I got was three consecutive starts, so this is great for me to be playing so many games."
