Quality counts for Coleman

CoventryChris Coleman will look for quality rather than quantity in his quest to transform his Coventry squad.

Coleman is desperate to avoid another season fighting fires at the wrong end of the Championship table and will only bring in players who he feels will improve his squad and change the mentality at the Ricoh.

"We don't want to settle for mediocre," Coleman told the club's official website.

"I don't want to settle for finishing where we did last season, especially in the way we did it - the last game was particularly disappointing.

"I thank the players for the effort they've given me since I've been in charge and they have given me everything they have got.

"But the league table doesn't lie over 46 games - we finished fourth from bottom because we didn't deserve to finish anywhere else."
