Robins in talks to net Mosquito

CoventryCoventry striker Michael Mifsud is in talks with Gary Johnson after Bristol City agreed a fee for the Malta hot-shot.

Mifsud, nicknamed 'The Mosquito' netted a total of 17 goals last season for the Sky Blues, but has found himself surplus to Ricoh Arena boss Chris Coleman's requirements after Coventry signed Freddy Eastwood.

The former Sliema Wanderers striker handed in his transfer request and after Johnson made his move, could be on his way to Ashton Gate.

"I spoke with Michael this week and he feels it is time for him to move on." revealed Coventry boss Chris Coleman.

Mifsud shot to prominence last season when he hit both goals in Coventry's Carling Cup win at Manchester United.
