Added incentive for T20 champs

CricketThe winners of this weekend's Twenty20 Cup will take part in what has been dubbed the Stanford Super Series in October.

The domestic champions will play in the build-up to the £10m showdown between the Stanford Super Stars and the England national side, which takes place on November 1.

There will be six matches before the showpiece event, which will also include regional Twenty20 champions Trindad & Tobago, while there is also a 'Legends Beach Cricket' match.

Essex, Kent, Middlesex and Durham are gearing themselves up for Finals Day in England's own competition, taking place at the Rose Bowl on Saturday, with the winners set to fly out to the Caribbean to take on Trinidad & Tobago on October 27.

"It's a great opportunity for the champions to play Trinidad and Tobago," ECB chief executive David Collier said. "A real opportunity to link the domestic game with international game."
