Loye feels Anderson's bowling could be influential for skipper Micahel Vaughan and will help guide his side to victory against the Black Caps after the first Test ended in a draw at Lord's.
He told BBC Radio Manchester: "He's only 25 but he is already an experienced international.
"A lot is depending on him and people like Michael Vaughan do rely on him."
Loye added: "All the players are important but people like Jimmy are especially so.
"He is important because he is a rhythm bowler and he does have that rhythm at the moment. Of course he is a home lad so it is all set up for him to do something special.
"Having said that, I don't think he puts too much pressure on himself. Hopefully he will just get out there at Old Trafford, relax and enjoy the occasion."
