"We've got to find answers," he said. "We can't ignore it. We built a good foundation at Durham but now we've got to go away and work hard as we'll have a tough series against the South Africans."
England ended up losing the five-match ODI series against New Zealand 3-1 but it was the manner of the defeat in the final game which worried Moores the most. The team conceded 96 runs from the last ten overs after bowling themselves into a seemingly strong position, before they slid from 53 without loss to 215 all out.
Moores continued: "We haven't bowled very well at the end of the innings and batting-wise it wasn't good enough.
"We've had some highs but New Zealand they have beaten us twice in two series and we've got to go away and think about that and make sure we work hard."
