Boss eyes striker switch

C PalaceCrystal Palace boss Neil Warnock is looking to bring in Chelsea's Israeli striker Ben Sahar on loan in January.

The player is currently on a six month loan deal with Premiership Portsmouth but he has been told he has no future there and Warnock is hoping to step in when that deal ends and bring him to Selhurst Park.

Warnock told the Advertiser: "We know Sahar is not playing at Portsmouth. He is someone we've asked about."

Meanwhile the boss is still hoping to bring Scott Sinclair back to the club in the new year.

He said: "We won't know about Scott until January 20th when Chelsea name their Champions League squad but there are other clubs in for him.

"We've put the wheels in motion about a forward who plays in the Premier League, so we'll see what happens."
