Duo handed Eagles trials

C PalaceNeil Warnock has offered trials to midfield pair John Oster and Leandre Griffit as they attempt to earn a contract at Palace.

Former Reading and Everton wideman Oster is a free agent having been released by the Royals at the end of last season, following their relegation from the Premier League.

Oster has interested several sides, with the 29-year-old recently training with Derby but decided to reject a contract offer from the Rams. Top flight new boys Stoke have also expressed an interest in the Wales international.

Oster featured for a Palace XI in a 3-2 friendly win over Dover Athletic earlier this week and along with former Southampton man Griffit, is looking to prove he can be a good addition for the Eagles.
