Crystal Palace are weighing up a move for former Portsmouth forward Jerome Thomas who is available on a free transfer.

Having been released by the Fratton Park outfit the former Charlton star is on the lookout for a new club, and despite two new arrivals at Selhurst Park, Neil Warnock is looking into the possibility.

Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser, Warnock revealed he may make a move for Thomas. He said: "His agent has contacted us so we are aware of his availability.

"Obviously our priority remains bringing in a player who can play through the middle - but Thomas is an option."

Warnock is looking to add to the signings of Darren Ambrose on a free transfer and Freddie Sears on loan.
