Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock claims stories linking Eagles midfielder Ben Watson to Birmingham are just 'speculation'.

Blues have long been linked with a move for Watson and fresh reports in the press suggested a January swoop could be on the cards, when the transfer window opens again.

However, Warnock says he has heard nothing new from Birmingham and has also ruled out Carl Fletcher going to Plymouth.

"I've not spoken to them (Plymouth)," Warnock revealed. "I would let him go on loan if they asked me to but they've not asked me to so it's a new story to me unless somebody knows something I don't know.

"I saw something in the paper yesterday about Ben and I don't know anything about that either. It's just speculation both stories at the minute."
