Midfielder deal could be off

Reports claim Ben Watson's proposed move to Nottingham Forest could be off after a disagreement over the fee.

The midfielder has stated that he wants to leave Selhurst Park this summer and did look to be heading to the City Ground before the transfer window closes later this month.

The deal for the midfielder was expected to be worth £2million but Palace are said to be seeking the whole fee up front, while Forest want to pay £1.5million at first with additional extras depending on appearances.

Both clubs have been unable to reach an agreement as yet and there is the chance the move may not go through before the end of August and may now fall through.
