Midfielder up for it

C PalaceCrystal Palace midfielder Paddy McCarthy says he cannot wait to get working with manager Neil Warnock after completing his move.

The centre-half finalised a £500,000 switch from Charlton last week and signed a three-year deal in a swap deal which saw Mark Hudson move to The Valley.

McCarthy now cannot wait to get started at his new club, he told the supporters' website: "When I spoke to Neil Warnock he just came across as a man I think I'll have a great relationship with.

"He will maybe appreciate me as a player a little bit more.

"He's said he knows full well what he's getting from me and what I'll bring to Crystal Palace. That's filled me full of confidence."
