Crystal Palace are reported to be lining up Chelsea youngster Nathaniel Chalobah, who is set to leave Stamford Bridge on loan.
The 18-year-old impressed while on loan at Watford last season and Chelsea are looking to send him out again, preferably to a Premier League side, in order to get more first-team experience.
Cardiff have also been linked with the player but Eagles boss Ian Holloway is favourite to do a deal as it would mean that Chalobah could stay in London rather than head to south Wales.
"A loan is probably the best move at the moment," the youngster revealed. "Chelsea is where I want to be so it's best to play in the same league.
"It's up to me and the club to find a place where I can get a chance to play."
