Palace eye Robins swoop

C PalaceCrystal Palace have agreed a fee with Bristol City for Nick Carle but Eagles boss Neil Warnock also has a back-up target in mind.

Midfielder Carle has only been with the Robins since January but his stay at Ashton Gate looks set to be a short one if Palace complete the deal.

Warnock told the South London Press: "There are two midfield players we've spoken to and really want but we only need one.

"Carle is the type we're looking for. Both him and our other target have not only got bags of ability but also enthusiasm and legs - they go all over the pitch.

"They would help bring a little more dimension to us attacking wise."

Palace need to replace Ben Watson who has turned down a new deal and looks set for QPR.
