Crystal Palace are reported to have failed with a £3million move for Ipswich Town starlet Aaron Cresswell.
The 23-year-old is highly-rated by the Tractor Boys and it will take a lot more than £3million to lure him away from Portman Road before the transfer window closes.
Town boss Mick McCarthy recently described him as the best left-back in the Championship and Ian Holloway clearly agrees after launching a bid to sign him.
Palace are not the only club to be showing an interest in the player as Everton, Wigan and Fulham are also keen, and Ipswich are bracing themselves for further bids before September 2.
Cresswell has returned to the side after recovering from long-term injury and has impressed in the opening games of the new season.
