Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has denied speculation that the club are looking at signing duo Dan Gosling and Carlton Cole.
Palace secured their Premier League status through the lottery of the Championship play-offs and boss Ian Holloway along with the board are looking to ensure they strengthen the squad accordingly to remain in the top flight.
Cole was released by West Ham at the end of the last campaign and is available on a free transfer, whereas Gosling is currently under contract with Newcastle but has failed to tie down a regular spot after being restricted by injuries.
Parish insists that the Eagles are looking at other targets after already bringing in five new players - Jerome Thomas, Stephen Dobbie, Kevin Phillips, Dwight Gayle and Jose Campana.
Parish said: "It's very unlikely Dan and Carlton will be signing, we have decided to move on. We are now looking at alternative targets."
