Crystal Palace have yet to make a move for West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie, who could end up staying at the Hawthorns.
Odemwingie, whose contract with Albion runs out at the end of next season, failed to secure a switch to QPR in January, but it looked certain he would leave this summer with the Eagles chasing his signature.
Hull and Swansea have also been linked with the Nigeria international but Baggies chief Jeremy Peace says no offers have been made yet and he could end up seeing out his contract in the West Midlands.
"We have a player who is under contract until the end of the season," Peace told the Birmingham Mail. "Unless something comes in to change our way of thinking he will be back in pre-season and we will deal with that.
"We took a view at the end of January - not only for the reasons of Peter Odemwingie, or QPR, or whichever agents were involved who acted disgracefully, but for the long term of this football club - that we have to behave a certain way.
"If we don't do that they will all be knocking on the door. Unless we get an offer we're happy with we won't sell him."
Palace boss Ian Holloway is weighing up his options ahead of the new season and also continues to be linked with Aston Villa striker Darren Bent, Wigan attacker Arouna Kone and Norwich's Grant Holt.
