Rivals target fresh midfielder bid

QPR are set to test the resolve of Crystal Palace by making a new improved bid for the Eagles midfielder.

Rangers have been tracking the player all summer as former Palace boss Iain Dowie hopes to be reunited with Watson and he has already failed with one bid.

The first offer for the 23-year-old was thought to be in the region of £1.25million but now QPR are set to launch another bid in the hope that will be enough to secure a deal.

Birmingham are also thought to be keen but QPR and Dowie are leading the race, should the Eagles decide to sell.
