Crystal Palace striker Aaron Wilbraham looks set to join Blackburn on loan ahead of their game with Burnley this weekend.
The 33-year-old is on the look-out for a club to join on loan after being left out of Palace's 25-man squad that was announced last week, and Rovers are keen to offer him a way out.
Wilbraham was one of the players to suffer as Ian Holloway drafted in 16 new players this summer, including Marouane Chamakh, and he will no doubt jump at the chance of a move to Ewood Park.
Rovers boss Gary Bowyer revealed: "Fingers crossed but we're hopeful of getting in one in before Saturday. There are a number of names on my list and hopefully we can get an answer off a few people."
Wilbraham has struggled for goals in the last 18 months but Bowyer wants someone to hold the ball up next to star striker Jordan Rhodes and believes the Palace man fits the bill perfectly.
