Striker's future in balance

C PalaceCrystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has plunged Clinton Morrison's future in doubt after telling him he is not first choice.

Warnock has decided to stick with the 4-3-3 formation which worked well last season and he claims that he has had a chat with fans' favourite Morrison and explained to him what that means.

Warnock told the Croydon advertiser: "I've decided to stick with the 4-3-3 formation which we've played this season and I've had a chat to Clinton about that.

"He knows he wouldn't be my automatic choice or a regular for that central striker role.

"In a conventional system, Clinton would be fantastic and he knows he is more than welcome to stay at the club - but he will have to fight it out with the forwards who are here and the forwards I will be bringing to the club."
