Watson looks ahead

Crystal Palace midfielder Ben Watson says he will become a better player after experiencing the play-off semi-final defeat.

Palace lost over two legs to Bristol City who eventually lost out themselves to Hull in the race for Premiership football but Watson, who scored in both legs but missed a crucial penalty in the second, says he will become a better player for the experience.

"The disappointment of losing to Bristol City has started to fade," he told the Palace supporters website. "Well, it both has and it hasn't. You can't help having all the ifs, buts and maybes but it is one of those things that happens in football.

"I can't look back and dwell on it though, I have got to get on with it and get on with my football. I'm sure the other lads will be feeling the same thing."
