Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway is set to snap up Southampton winger Jason Puncheon on a season-long loan deal.
Holloway worked with Puncheon during his time in charge of Blackpool and a reunion could be on the cards at Selhurst Park after Saints agreed to let the winger move on.
Puncheon was not in the Saints squad on the opening day of the season and will slip even further down the pecking order if they complete the signing of Scott Sinclair from Manchester City.
The 27-year-old wants to move on in search of more regular first-team football and although that will not be guaranteed at Selhurst Park, he will get more action under Holloway, who rates him very highly.
If a deal does go through then Puncheon will become Holloway's ninth signing of the summer and there is a chance one or two more could be on the way before the window closes.
