Partridge relishing Daggers chance

New Dagenham signing Matt Partridge is hoping the move to the London club will see his career take off.

The versatile defender has so far had quite a nomadic existence, with loan spells at Bognor Regis and Basingstoke his only experience of first team football following a frustrating spell at Reading. But he is hoping the move to Daggers will be a crucial education for him.

"There was a big squad at Reading and I was in the Under-21 side and went on loan to get some experience and games under my belt. I feel it's broadened my experience to come here and get some first team experience", Partridge told the Daggers' official website.

"Last season I went to Basingstoke and played centre-midfield so I feel like I've got a good amount to offer the team.

"I'm looking forward to being involved and potentially playing this evening. It'll be good to get to meet all the lads."
