Former Scotland boss George Burley says Derby's new signing Russel Anderson will give the club everything he has got.

Anderson was released by Sunderland last week and signed by Derby on a short term deal to provide cover for the injury hit defence at the club but Burley says the 31-year-old will give his all for the Rams.

"Russell is a very honest and determined lad, a wholehearted competitor," said Burley.

"He will want to get back playing first-team football again and will see joining Derby as a big opportunity for him.

"He'll certainly give it everything he has got."
