Defender's still needed - Jewell

Derby boss Paul Jewell has admitted he will continue his search for a new centre-half despite the win at the weekend.

The 3-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday was only the second clean sheet of the season and with injuries to both Martin Albrechtsen and Dean Leacock still keeping the pair out Jewell has confirmed his search for cover will continue.

Of the duo, Jewell told the Derby Telegraph: "They are coming along slowly.

"I still think we need to try to strengthen that department because we are light on the ground there."
