Ferrie could still set sail to Rams

DerbyMidfielder target Ferrie Bodde has hinted that a summer move to Derby could materialise despite confirming he is happy at Swansea.

Rams boss Paul Jewell is looking to sign the 26-year-old highly-rated Dutch star in the close season as he aims to rebuild the squad at Pride Park following their disastrous relegation campaign in the Premier League. And despite seeing a £500,000 plus add-ons bid snubbed by the Swans last week, the club are still hopeful of securing a deal.

Swansea boss Roberto Martinez was adamant that Bodde was going nowhere as he is needed at the Liberty Stadium following the Welsh outfit's promotion to the Championship as League One champions. However, Bodde has muddied the water by refusing to rule out the possibility of plying his trade at Pride Park next term.

"You never know what will happen in football," said Bodde. "When you don't know what is on offer, you can never decide anything for certain.

"Until this moment in time, nothing has happened and I am happy with that. My agent is handling everything for me anyway.

"I have heard about Derby's interest but it is not something I think about. Unless the clubs agree a deal, I don't need to.

"At the moment, I don't want to know anything more about it."
