Forest scotch Rams raid talk

DerbyNottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood has said that the club won't be bringing in Derby midfielder Stephen Pearson.

The Scottish international is currently out of favour at Pride Park which has lead to a number of clubs making enquiries.

However, Calderwood has now said that Forest won't be making a move for Pearson and said that he doesn't expect the club to bring in any new faces before the transfer window closes.

"We're just about done - we're eyeing one or two up but I don't think anything will come to fruition," he said.

"By the time the next game comes after Burnley (on 13th September) we'll be able to loan then, so the necessity is less than in the Premier League."

However the former Tottenham defender hasn't ruled out the possibility of using the loan market to strengthen his squad in the future.

"I think with the players returning we're going to give ourselves some added depth and that will keep the players on their toes," he added.
