Future uncertain for Savage

There is uncertainty over the future of Robbie Savage at Derby amid reports he has been stripped of the captaincy.

The 33-year-old former Welsh international was not in the squad for Saturday's 3-2 pre-season friendly win over Mansfield and the club said at the time that he had picked up a knock and there was no point in risking him.

Then came the reports that he had been dropped and stripped of the captaincy at the club.

As yet there has been no official word but all eyes will be on the side that takes on Rushden and Diamonds on Tuesday night and if he is not in that squad then the speculation will considerably increase.
