Jewell relieved following victory

DerbyDerby boss Paul Jewell has admitted to being relieved after finally seeing his side gain a victory when beating Lincoln.

The Carling Cup win came courtesy of a Nathan Ellington hat-trick but it was not easy for the Rams who needed extra-time to get past their lowly opposition, but it was a sense of relief that prevailed at the end of the boss.

Jewell said: "Thank goodness for that. We are not kidding ourselves but it is a first step and it's a great feeling.

"There's no doubt that we were by far the better team but at 1-0 down we were looking down the barrel."
