Jewell running out of patience

DerbyDerby boss Paul Jewell has admitted losing patience with his side at half time of the match against Bristol City.

The Rams were a goal down at the break but the half time tongue lashing from the boss did the trick and Paul Green's 53rd minute equaliser cancelled out Nicky Maynard's first League goal for City.

"I can't repeat what I said at half-time - but I lost my rag because we were losing battles all over the pitch," Jewell said.

"It was powder-puff stuff and I'm still angry now at what I saw in that first half but at least I got a response.

"I told the lads if a manager had said the same to me during my playing career, I would have done everything possible in the second half to ram the words down his throat.

"You could see the difference straight away. We showed the fight and spirit that has been sadly lacking for the last eight months or so."
