Latics defender eyed by Rams

DerbyDerby boss Paul Jewell is being linked with a raid on former club Wigan for defender Titus Bramble.

Bramble ended last season out of favour at the JJB with Paul Scharner and Emmerson Boyce forging a partnership at the heart of defence.

Jewell is rebuilding the squad he inherited from former Rams chief Billy Davies in preparation for an assault on the Championship and he has apparently identified Bramble as a top target.

Latics signed the former Ipswich youngster on a free transfer from Newcastle so will make money on the 26-year-old if they decide to do a deal.
