Pearson move denied

DerbyDerby's chairman of football Adam Pearson has denied that Stephen Pearson is about to move to rivals Nottingham Forest.

Pearson's future at Pride Park would appear to be in some doubt and he has been linked with a move to Forest for £1m. However the Rams chairman denies that is going to happen.

"There is nothing in that," said Pearson.

It is thought there are a handful of clubs taking a look at the player but as yet no-one has made a move for the 25-year-old who was on loan at Stoke last season with a view to them making a permanent bid.

So far though no bid has materialised and Forest could nip in and land him.
