Rams ace to miss Three Lions test

DerbyDerby's Benny Feilhaber will miss the USA's friendly with England this week after being ruled out for six weeks with a knee injury.

The 23-year-old American midfielder suffered the injury while captaining the Under-23 side against Turkey last Wednesday in which he limped off after 67 minutes.

A scan on the problem in LA on Saturday revealed a torn meniscus in his right knee which requires surgery and means Feilhaber is now facing a race to be fit for the start of Derby's pre-season training programme this summer.

It is the latest injury blow for the player, who made just one start and 10 appearances in the Rams' dismal Premier League campaign following his arrival from German side Hamburg last July.

Derby winger Eddie Lewis is in the American side and he will go up against Fabio Capello's Three Lions side at Wembley on Wednesday night.
