Rams boss rages

DerbyDerby boss Paul Jewell has hit out at the decision to appoint Stuart Attwell as referee for their draw with Nottingham Forest.

Miles Addison appeared to have won all the three points for the Rams when he headed home a Nacer Barazite corner during injury time at Pride Park only for the referee to disallow the goal and cap another baffling performance.

Jewell believes that such a high profile match should have had a top official in charge, he said: "We should have had an experienced Premier League referee in there who could handle the situation.

"It's a great goal. You look and Forest are not even complaining - one or two hands went up asking for something but it was a goal.

"I have never felt so aggrieved in my life, especially with the meaning of the game and what it means to the supporters, especially after the character we had shown.

"There wasn't a decision to make. If it was a 50-50 call and he had something then I understand, but it was 100% a goal - it's a great ball and great header and it feels like a loss now.

"I think the guys who do the referee's match reports must have paper aeroplanes all over their offices. If I was manager of Manchester United or Liverpool I might have more credence but I guess they think it's only Derby."
