Rams to catch Ferrie at third attempt

DerbyDerby are ready to make a third offer to Swansea for Ferrie Bodde and this time they will meet the 2million pounds asking price.

The Rams have had two bids turned down by the Championship new boys for the Dutch midfielder as Swans chairman Huw Jenkins refused to lower his £2m valuation.

Swansea manager Roberto Martinez has always believed Bodde could play at a much higher level.

"He has the potential to play for a Champions League club," he said.

"He has then got to look at playing in the World Cup for Holland

Derby boss Paul Jewell has consistently tried to land him despite the earlier set backs and reports now says Derby are to offer the going rate and Jewell now looks likely to get his man.
