Derby chairman of football Adam Pearson has claimed to have heard nothing from Glasgow giants Celtic regarding a move for Kris Commons.
Reports north of the border say Celtic manager Tony Mowbray has lined up a £3m bid for Commons but the Rams have denied they have heard from the former West Brom boss.
Pearson, said: "We have heard nothing from Celtic and can only presume it is speculation.
"Kris is an important member of the team."
Derby have always said they want to keep Commons and they would only consider an offer of "silly" money to sell the player.
Meanwhile the club admit they have rejected two 'small' offers from Norwich City for striker Liam Dickinson.
