Rams target not on Swans tour

Derby transfer target Ferrie Bodde has not joined up with Swansea on their pre-season tour of Sweden due to family reasons its claimed.

Bodde has been linked to a host of clubs this summer but it is Derby who are at the front of the queue for his services, although so far efforts by the Rams have failed to persuade Swansea to sell the Dutch midfielder.

Swans chairman Huw Jenkins denies there is anything significant in the fact he has missed out on the tour and says it was already agreed with their boss Roberto Martinez.

"It's not significant at all that Ferrie hasn't travelled. He will be out in Sweden on Tuesday," said Jenkins.

"It's very simple. He has got a few things to sort out to do with his kids in Holland and then he will be following the rest of the squad over to Sweden. He agreed that with Roberto (Martinez, Swansea manager).

"It's got nothing to do with Derby or anyone else. He said there were a few issues he needed to sort out and we were happy to help him."
