Paul Jewell says Robbie Savage still has a future at Derby, while trialist John Oster has snubbed the offer of a deal at Pride Park.However, Jewell insists nothing should be read into that fact and played down suggestions the player could be offloaded in a summer of huge changes during which 11 new faces have already arrived.
Meanwhile, 29-year-old Wales international Oster decided to spurn the chance of staying at Derby, despite featuring in four pre-season games.
Jewell told the club website: "We did offer John something but it wasn't acceptable to him. He's got other irons in the fire, so it's one we'll move away from now."
