Striker pleased with exit

DerbyRams record signing Robert Earnshaw has ended his troubled spell at the club after completing a move to Nottingham Forest for £2.65m

The Welsh international has had a nightmare season with the Rams after signing for a club record £3.5m last summer from Norwich with just one goal in seven starts in the Premiership.

Now he is delighted to have teamed up with newly promoted Forest and is looking ahead to the new campaign.

"It has taken a few weeks but I'm glad everything is done," he said. " I can't wait for the start of the season.

"Derby was disappointing but that's the way it goes," Earnshaw told the club's website. "I'm just looking at is as a chapter closed and will learn from it.

"Getting to know Colin Calderwood ( Forest boss) was important I wanted to know what he was looking for.

"We had a good, long chat and that was an important factor in my decision in the end."
